OU Energy is a community of energy-interested researchers at The Open University. It is led by occasional informal community discussion meetings chaired by Professor William Nuttall.

OU Energy has received helpful advice and guidance from the OU Business Development.

OU Energy itself does not undertake research, sponsored or otherwise - it is a portal to individual OU research groups with their own funding structures and organisation.

OU Energy activities have been sponsored by the OU Faculty of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics and OU Energy has benefitted from funding from the Research Engineering part of UK Research and Innovation.
